With the end of school only a month away, it’s a good time for students to relax before settling into their load of projects, essays, tests, and finals. What better way to do so than to enjoy a fashion show?
Wayland High School is hosting its first fashion show on May 23rd from 7:30 to 8:30 PM at the Little Theatre. It will feature clothes from Cool Waves – Euro Moda, Delias, and Betsey Johnson, which are all located at the Natick Collection. Profits will be directed toward the Wayland Scholarship Committee and the school’s Gardening Club to help beautify the campus.
The show will also include an intermission featuring performances from students.
Co-president of the Gardening Club and co-director of the fashion show Amanda Tang is enthusiastic about the event: “It’s going to be fun yet original…there’s clothing for everyone; no matter what clique or what you’re into, you’ll find it there.”
There is, in fact, a variety of clothes in the show, ranging from city-wear to casual-wear to dressy, from bright and peppy to subdued and neutral to dark and shiny. Those who attend will surely see new clothes that’ll pique their interests.
The models come from all grades and even include some males: Virginia Bell, Dan Cheung, Jill Coffin, Anita Ganesan, Danya Gordin, AnnaLisa Kroll, Adrienne LaFarge, Sam Lentz, Teresa McCarthy, Laura Moschella, Kim Maccini, Grace Ordonez, Mary Lou Ponsetto, Monisha Rajinkanth, Grace Tang, and Steph Tardiff.
The show is on May 23rd at the school’s Little Theater from 7:30 to 8:30 PM. Tickets will be on sale during lunches. Students: $8. Adults: $12.
