(This article is in no way trying to impugn the quality of the food from our cafeteria.)
Every student who has ever bought lunch at Wayland High School has noticed the outrageous prices for one hot lunch. Everyone is aware that the economy is the worst it has been in decades, but $2.75 for one chicken fajita and a minuscule container of milk seems ridiculous.
In the good old days of my schooling, I could buy a whole lunch for just one dollar and 3 quarters. The price increased to $2.75 before the school year of 2006-2007. Students tried boycotting it, but the following was too minimal for any great result. You could get a more filling lunch for your stomach and your pocket by cooking a box of spaghetti for a dollar and putting some marinara sauce on it, all for under $2.75.
Unfortunately, even if our economy improves, the prices of our school lunches probably won’t. The best you can do is to try and be nice to the lunch lady so she gives you an extra scoop of corn.

not only expensive, but small portions, and it doesn’t even taste good. the only thing worth eating are the calzones, but by 3rd lunch they are cold and don’t taste good.
