Although the weather was rainy, prom this year was awesome. Pre-prom, as usual, was held in the field house at the high school. It was nice how there were hardly any conflicts with girls wearing the same dresses. I am sure that everyone felt the same way as Kathryn Washek did: There was a whole lot of picture taking, and my mouth was really starting to hurt! So after many, many pictures at the field house with families and friends, everyone started to hop into their cars, limos and party buses.

Prom this year was held at the Marriott Hotel in Boston. Coach P has said that Marriott was one of the nicest places that the prom has ever been held. Teachers were already there to greet us as we came up the escalators and stood in a line to shake our hands.

There was a delicious sit down dinner, which started off with a salad, followed by a choice of either pasta or chicken. The dinner ended with a rich slice of chocolate cake.

After the dinner, people were eager to get to the dance floor. The music was greatit consisted of mostly techno music, which most people seemed to enjoy. Many kids from other grades, as well as other schools were invited to the prom this year. Greg Karelitz, a junior at Belmont Hill, said, The prom was sensational. Not only was it extremely fun, but it was also a great opportunity to meet new people.

Overall, the prom was a great time for everyone, and I am sure that all of the current sophomores are extremely excited for their prom, which will be held in May of 2009.
