Ask Vilma: All work, no play

I’ve had really hard time balancing school and my boyfriend. My boyfriends been getting really mad at me because when were together all I want to do is chem. please help me i need to save this relationship. What do i do?

Sometimes, sister, you just have to let go. Forget about your work and focus on what’s really important to you. Anyone in a relationship wants attention, and that is exactly what you’re denying your boyfriend. You have chosen chemistry over him. Set aside some time for just the two of you. There is no way you have that much work at this point in the year. I know teachers say, “Don’t procrastinate!” but I’m not a teacher and all I’m telling you is to leave your work for later. On weekends, save your work for Sunday and spend Saturday with your male friend. To let him know you care, try going to one of his sporting events or doing something with him that he enjoys. Let him know that you care about him more than you care about your textbook.
