Ask Vilma: Re-kindling the flame

Lately when my boyfriend and i have been hanging out, there is no chemistry between us. I try to talk about things that he likes but he just doesn’t seem to have the emotional part in the relatipnship anymore. what do i do?

Stop talking about “things that he likes,” and focus on him. If you want that emotional charge between you two, you must be willing to talk about what’s in your heart. A great person once said, ‘Tis far better to give your all and smother than to withhold in hopes of a longer relationship.’ So don’t be afraid to show your boyfriend how you feel even if he refuses to do so. Open up to him and he will to you. If you want to rekindle the spark you had when you were young lovers, you must think back to the feelings you had in those days. Show him how you feel. You must be careful though. Men are sometimes intimidated by women who open up fully to them. In order for a garden to grow, you must not love it too much, nor too little. Find the amount of love that is “just right” for your boyfriend and show it to him with all your heart. Be sure he knows that you like him by giving him compliments and telling him what he means to you. If he feels the same way about you, he will show it.
