jade1What has been the most rewarding experience you’ve had?

Daang, that’s a loaded question. Probably my discovery of FEARnet.

Do you have a movie that you never get tired of watching?
Well, I watched The Yellow Submarine four times a day when I was in third grade. These days, I can’t really say… I could probably watch Children of Men or Requiem for a Dream over and over again, and they would still be just as effective. I just probably couldn’t watch either of them twice in a row/one after the other, because it would definitely kill me.

I hear that you’re a really great photographer. Do you plan on pursuing this as a career?
It’s a possibility.

Would you describe yourself as a morning person or a night person?
Definitely a night person. But sometimes I wish I weren’t. There’s a lot that happens in the morning that I wish I didn’t miss.

Do you still have tonsils?
Keep ’em near and dear.

What’s the best advice that someone’s given you?
Always love.

What’s your favorite foreign cuisine?
Indian.

Is there a book that’s really stuck with you after you’ve read it?
White Oleander by Janet Fitch. Also her book Paint It Black. They’re both mind-blowingly beautiful

If you could fly any airline, which would it be, and why?
Air India. Raina told me they have spiral staircases in them…

Could you tell our readers a little bit about your band “We are Zombies!”?
Oh, it’s just me and Emma messing around and being weird and having fun. The name obviously comes from our obsession with the undead. Right now we do covers, but hopefully we’ll have original stuff soon. We’re thinking of changing our name to We Are Zombie! (singular) because of a typo someone recently made.

Are you a shopaholic?
I might be if I had any cash at all. Right now I’m saving up for a camera, so I’m trying to keep my purchases to a minimum. If I did have some extra dough, however, I’d probably spend it on silly things like toy pianos and shoelaces.

Do you have a favorite teacher at the high school?
Hmm…

On your Facebook you list “making rainbow cakes” in your activities: would you care to elaborate on this process?
Ah, the rainbow cake. The rainbow cake is an annual spring event where Grace Quinn and I get together and celebrate life and happiness and cake. White cake mix plus magic. And Jell-O mix.

What job did you want to do when you were little?
I was set on veterinarian for the longest time. Then I wanted to be a writer. Then I wanted to be a pilot because I read this awesome autobiography in fourth grade of this girl who listened to Green Day and learned to fly a plane when she was 13 and flew all the way across the country and I thought that was so edgy. Then I wanted to be an actress. Actress/writer/pilot, that is.

Have you ever seen a ghost?
No. But I’m pretty sure they’re real. Or, spirits anyhow.

Have you ever been in the newspaper (the police log doesn’t count)?
Well.. what about my alter-ego?

What is your favorite word?
I forget it.. Biuret is nice. Chandelier. Visceral. Lascivious (ooh).

What would your dream car be?
Something small, broken in, maybe even beat up. I think Volkswagen Rabbits are adorable. Something I could name. White maybe. I plan on spray painting it (stencils, mmm), if I’m not going to sell it and it’s going to breathe its last breath in my possession.
