WSPN Newsletter: The peculiar, the humorous, and the just plain creepy

Dear Readers,

Who knew people hid inside those costumes? Here at WSPN we’re checking out the peculiar, the humorous, and the just plain creepy with our Senior Halloween Costumes gallery: Class of 2010 style.

Earlier this week WSPN was able to “unmask” one of our new teachers! How many school librarians are also bass players in decently-known Boston rock bands? Wayland High’s very own Erin Dalbec, the new Media Center Director and Photography teacher plays bass in The Beatings. Yeah, we thought it was pretty awesome too.

In other news, film critic Nick Van Sciver has this week’s weather forecast: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. In this new 3D masterpiece (is there really any other way to see this movie?), this kindergarten classic turned feature film apparently has audiences glued to their seats (though, it’s possible that the 3D syrup was involved…). The best part I found in the trailer: the pancake falling on the school. Maybe if we’re lucky, pumpkins will fall on the school tomorrow! It would be a Halloween miracle! Wait, wrong holiday…

Check out the latest news, galleries, videos, blogs, and more at the continually growing, and evolving waylandstudentpress.com.

See you all Monday with sugar withdrawal,
