Ask Vilma: Keeping friends destined for fame

Dear Vilma….: My best friend wants to be a singer and she is really good.  I’m afraid that when we grow up, she might become famous and not remember me.  What do I do?

If you are sure your friend is destined for fame, you have to do something that secures your relationship now. This may mean taking it to the next level. Put on the moves with your friend… see if they respond. If they do, just keep doing what you’re doing. If they don’t, it only means you have to work harder. If they are famous and you are their signifcant other, they have to take you along for the ride. You never know when your friend is going to get their big break so make your move as soon as possible.
