“I didn’t really know many seniors, so it wasn’t huge when they left. It was kind of cumbersome walking through that big crowd, and the screaming pissed me off so I wasn’t really too happy when they were being happy out there. It’s just a little lugubrious.”

Sammy Karle

Sophomore
“You still see them around all the time right now for graduation preparation.”

Meg Kuhn

Sophomore
“I feel like I noticed them being gone a lot more last year. Even though I know a lot of the seniors this year, I didn’t really notice because they’re still around. But, it’s going to be weird without them around.”

Stephanie Ivers

Sophomore
“I know I’m going to miss them; I had a lot of senior friends. It’s going to feel a little empty sometimes.”

Yannick Schaefer

Junior
“It’s nice because it’s quieter around school.”

Alice D’Orlando

Junior
“I have mixed emotions, I think I’m going to miss them a lot because I have a lot of friends who are seniors, and it’s sad to have them gone because I don’t think I’m going to see them that much anymore. But, it’s also really good because if you notice around, the media center is really empty, which is nice because it’s more quiet in here. The commons is pretty empty, the juniors can sit in the senior spots, and senior parking of course is open to juniors, and I know all my friends love that.”

Do you feel like you're a senior? “I’m obviously excited, it’s senior year. I feel in some ways I’m a senior, in some you still know you’re a junior, but I would say overall you still feel like you’re a senior now."

Alice D'Orlando

Do you feel like you're a senior? “With the schoolwork, ending junior year, I don’t really feel like a senior. But, at the same time, I do because I feel like our grade has come together strongly now. We had a psych yesterday. It’s fun.”
