Warrior Weekly: Feel better

This week, Harry talks about the Warrior's loss in the Division III Super Bowl and gives some suggestions on how to cope with the loss.

Congratulations to the town of Sharon for a big win on Saturday. You guys had a heck of a season and should celebrate.

At least we still have our Tennis State Championship.

It happens to everybody. Everybody loses. It is just a part of sports. But, the best way to cheer up after a tough loss is to think about all the other fan bases that have it worse than you do.
So, if you are a big Warriors football fan and are upset about the loss on Saturday, think of these teams and thank the lord you are not a fan of them:

1. The Chicago Cubs: No explanation needed.

2. The Pittsburgh Pirates: 20 straight losing seasons. I didn’t even know that was possible. Then again, if you’re not a fan of the long baseball season, the Pirates do provide a short one. They are usually eliminated from the playoffs by July.

3. Weston: The Weston football team was pretty bad this year. They ended their season on a 7 game losing streak. Who are they? The Philadelphia Eagles?

4. The Philadelphia Eagles: The Phillies, who last played on October 3rd have won more recently than the Eagles. Wow.

5. The New York Jets: Their number one fan/icon/mascot/idiot Fireman Ed stepped down after a tough loss to the Patriots on Thanksgiving because they were too depressing to watch, while their quarterback they just signed to a three year extension worth $40 million, was benched on Sunday.

6. Along with the Jets, every other team in the AFC East is pathetic. With their win on Sunday, the Patriots won their ninth division title in the past 10 years. Step up your game AFC East.

7. The San Antonio Highlands: Who are they? They could be the worst team in high school football. Back in September they won a game. Why is that a big deal? Because they lost their last 32.

Now you see, it’s not that bad. We all had a good time watching the football team this year. It was exciting just to make it to the Super Bowl, and we have to think of how lucky we are to even get that far. You never know when you might go on a 32 game losing streak.

Now that the fall season is over, the pressure is on the winter sports.

To check out all you need to know about this years winter sports teams, check out WSPN’S winter sports preview.

The winter Warrior Scores will be up within the week too, so keep your eyes open for that.
