Wandering Backpack: Ken Rideout

Wandering Backpack asks what would you bring if you had 10 minutes to pack a bag with your most treasured items, knowing you wouldn’t be back for years.

Magnetic chessboard: Nothing says nerd like traveling with a magnetic chessboard.

Snacks: Gotta have snacks.

Portable tissues: Tissue, toilet paper, napkin, plate and a band aid, you name it – it’s useful.

Book: Always grab a book you bought years ago that you think all smart people need to read, but you still haven’t.

Towel: Arthur Dent says “Always travel with a towel.”

iPad: I should say it’s to look at pictures of my kids and to Skype with my wife while I’m traveling, but let’s be real: I just need to keep playing Clash of the Clans.

Passports: Best part of being a dual citizen is you get to pick the friendliest country’s passport.

American Express card: Two percent rebate on travel. I could use the rebate to buy more snacks.
