    Agreeing with Laine’s point;
    If you are on a sports team, you do not practice in your every day school clothes (in most cases), you wear warm ups or a change of clothes and many times different shoes.
    Being bare foot has been a part of the WHSTE tradition for a very long time. The seniors before our seniors, and even the seniors before their seniors have all taken part in this tradition. Being bare foot not only represents the new steps you take as a character in a scene, but by taking off your shoes it leaves your regular school life outside the theater doors, and enter into the life of a character in a story.

    I am very excited to preform in this show, so come and support your fellow actors, just as you would show up to a football game, a concert, and or any other school event in supporting the Wayland students.

    The reason WHSTE members don’t wear shoes and don’t wear the clothes they wore to school in rehearsal is to be able to be in character and not carry your everyday “WHS body” into rehearsal. Can’t wait to come back and see this!
