WHS history teacher and boys varsity soccer coach David Gavron cheers on the boys soccer team from the sideline. Gavron has been teaching since 1994, and took on the position of head coach for the WHS boys varsity soccer team in 2008. In preparation for the holiday season, this house’s trim and foundation is neatly lined with red and white colored lights, and a snowman is placed before the front door. For many, simply seeing the lights around Wayland provides residents and WHS students with a sense of joy. “I love seeing coordinated lights lined around the rims of houses because it is simple, yet it is elegant and festive,” freshman Tristen Chow said.
