Wayland High School and Middle School will return to all in person, five days a week learning starting April 27. The decision comes after the the Massachusetts Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education mandated all grades 6-8 to be all in person five days a week.

Employees at Waylands Dudley Chateau and the Villa were graciously tipped $500 on Friday, Feb. 5 as part of the famous trend, the Venmo Challenge. 
It was a fantastic surprise, and it was very much appreciated, employee Stacey Keating said. We split it between the waitstaff working, and we were ecstatic to receive the tip.

Since the start of the pandemic, over 204 million videos have been made on TikTok with the hashtag “Venmo Challenge,” a challenge in which someone gifts a substantial tip to their server at a restaurant....

Its currently unknown what the 2021-2022 school year will look like at Wayland High School. However, many students and staff are optimistic about restrictions being lifted. Many crucial factors, such as the vaccine have played a role in this hopefulness of returning to normalcy. “I think [the vaccine] is going to be a relatively big effect just because vaccines allow us to protect the people who are most vulnerable, and just generally kind of prevent larger scale spread,” junior Lily Noyes said.
