BREAKING: WHS student in bicycle accident

On Monday, March 21, at around 8:30 a.m., a Wayland High School student was in a bicycle accident on their way to school.

On Monday, March 21, a Wayland High School student got into an accident while riding their bicycle to school. The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m., and WHS Assistant Principal Sean Gass sent an email to students at 9:24 a.m. informing them of the accident.

“[Nurse Tim Bryant] and emergency medical support were [at the scene of the accident] immediately, and the student has been transported with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries,” Gass’s email said. “[The student is] expected to be ok.”

Along with details of the accident, the name of the student has not been released yet.

Any student who witnessed the accident and needs an outlet to speak to is encouraged to go to the counseling office.
