Sophomore Ellie Barenboyem points to the options at the Shabby Gourmet Health Shakes and Smoothies food truck which was a vendor at the event. The Wayland Music Festival was planned several years in advance but suffered a significant delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Saturday, May 21, the first Wayland Music Festival took place on the lawn of the Wayland Town Center. With live music, food, face painting and other activities, the festival attracted many Wayland residents. Sophomores Joss O’Heron, Kyra Spooner and Ellie Barenboyem organized this event through the School Committee Club at Wayland Middle School after several years of planning. It will be held again next year.
