News:

Staff Reporter Tina Su interviewed Wayland High School juniors about college touring. Co-Editor-in-Chief Emily Roberge and WSPN’s Tess Alongi broke the news about Principal Allyson Mizoguchi being named a finalist for the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School superintendent-principal position.

Editor Nadya Chase and WSPN’s Aimee Smith reported on past Wayland METCO students’ experiences in the program. Chase also broke the news on the announcement of the Wayland Middle School interim principal for the 2024-2025 school year.

Features:

WSPN’s Katya Luzarraga highlighted former Wayland High School Principal Patrick Tutwiler becoming the new Massachusetts secretary of education. Roberge and Staff Reporter Jane Tardif reported on the new sports broadcast class at WHS.

Sports:

Tardif, along with Editor Delia Caulfield, WSPN’s Sophia Oppenheim and Staff Reporter Melina Barris previewed WHS spring sports. Staff Reporter Bowen Morrison wrote about the future of the 2022-2023 basketball season for the Celtics.

Multimedia:

Co-Editor Sasha Libenzon and Staff Reporters Hallie Luo and Carolina Sdoia photographed the Class of 2023’s Senior Show. Alongi and WSPN’s Nina Wilson produced a video about WHS students participating in outdoor activities with elementary school students on Individualized Education Plans.

A&E:

Staff Reporter Sierra Dale highlighted WHS student band “The Shouting Rustlers.”

“Sharing years of friendship and a love for music, senior singer Katie Schouten and guitarist Austin Russell decided to turn those interests into their very own band,” Dale wrote.

Opinion:

WSPN’s Kris Poole-Evans wrote about the pros and cons of drinking coffee as a high school student. Staff Reporter Jeffery Zhang discussed Novak Djokovic’s vaccination saga in his most recent installment of Trending on Tennis. Meanwhile, WSPN’s Talia Macchi shared her opinion on the controversy surrounding Dr. Seuss.
