Wayland graduates Justin Lerner and Evan Sneider’s paths have crossed in a big way since graduation. Lerner -an aspiring film director – wrote and directed his first full-length feature film Girlfriend in Wayland. Evan Sneider also starred, playing a young man with Down Syndrome pursuing an old high school crush whose run into some hard times. WSPN caught up with the Wayland grads for an interview on their experiences working on the film.

Girlfriend hits select theaters in spring 2011.

    This is such a great story! I am so happy for Justin and Evan and for all who were involved in the film. Although I don't know either one of them, it's great to hear good things happening to local boys. You've mad Wayland proud!
