Weekly News Preview: Orchestra concert, focus group, and toys for tots drive

The annual winter WHS and WMS orchestra concert will take place on Dec. 18 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the WHS theater. The WHS Art Exhibit will simultaneously be open for viewing in the Commons.

The Wayland Police Department will serve as a drop-off location for the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots toy drive until Dec. 14. Drop off any new, unwrapped, non violent toys at the police department in the town center.

WPS Superintendent of Schools Arthur Unobskey is hoping to hold a focus group on Dec. 7 with a group of about 12 willing students. The focus group will be discussing a number of different topics, one of which being the results of the recent survey that students took during advisory about Unobskey’s visioning process for our district. Students who wish to participate are encouraged to email WHS Principal Allyson Mizoguchi.
