COVID-19 has cancelled many of Waylands normal activities such as school dances and sports game, but the student council did not let the pandemic take away the WHS tradition of Spirit Day and the activities during the week leading up to the event. Unlike this picture from two years ago, Spirit Day will be fully remote this year.  

“Its going to be similar in spirit but very different in execution,” Student Council Vice President Porter Moody said.

Computer Science club uses Discord to communicate, which is a chatting server thats a lot like modern Skype with more options to design. Instead of using Facebook groups like other clubs, CS club opted for the more modern option of Discord. I think Discord is just structured better and easier to use, junior Eric Xie said.
