May 1, 2022 marks the 15th anniversary of the publication, each year made unique by the hard work and creative efforts of every student journalist who participates in the elective.
Not just a publication, but a family: WSPN’s 15th anniversary
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the SADD organization. To celebrate the organization has planned year round events and is hosting its biggest organization gathering in the past two years, this summer. The event is to educate students about SADD, bring SADD chapters together and celebrate SADDs legacy. “I realize that behind every stat I look at, behind every report we craft, every single element are these stories, there is a mom, theres a dad, theres a family, theres a school thats forever changed.”

Lisa McNamara runs down the sideline as she coaches her player with the ball. Although McNamara is the new girls varsity soccer coach, she coached last season for the girls JV team. “I expect 100% effort on the field, working hard, respecting the game, coaches and administration,” McNamara said.
Newest additions to the WHS athletic staff

I’m always trying to improve and get faster, Gleason said. Now that I’m going to Bates College I want to make sure that when I get there the next fall that I’m in shape and ready to go.

It feels amazing to be a part of a team that has performed as well as we have, Pralle said. Everyone puts in the work in practice and our coaches work tirelessly to train and guide us to be the best swimmers we can be.

Freshman Annie McQuilkin takes a foul shot at a girls varsity basketball game against Bedford. McQuilkin has been passionate about playing basketball since elementary school. I started playing basketball in third grade, right off the bat, I just loved the sport, McQuilkin said. I was always practicing all the time.
