Evan Troost

Name: Evan Troost

Grade: Senior

Favorite store:

“PacSun at the mall or UNIQLO. I like what they sell – it’s a mix of form and function, so their clothes are warm and comfortable, but they also look good.”

Online shopping or in-store?:

“In-store, because I like to try stuff on.”

Fashion icon:

“Mac DeMarco. He’s a music artist. He wears relaxed outfits and doesn’t really care what people think.”

Outfit:

“[I got my shoes from] DSW, the pants are from Eddie Bauer – they’re hiking pants, [my] sweater is from Abercrombie & Fitch, the jean jacket is from UNIQLO, and this shirt is from PacSun.”

Favorite season:

“Winter because I like layering, and I like the snow.”

Design time:

“[In the morning]. I just get up and if I have stuff on the floor I’ll just put it back on.”

Favorite article of clothing:

“Sweaters, because they are warm and they look pretty good.”

Style word:

“Relaxed, [because] I don’t like wearing super tight clothing like a lot of guys do now. I don’t really like tight jeans.”

Fashion-challenged advice:

“Don’t try to impress other people, just wear whatever makes you feel good.”

Gabby Fargnoli

Name: Gabby Fargnoli

Grade: Senior

Favorite store:

“I don’t know if I have [a favorite store]. Maybe Free People if it’s on sale. I think they have a lot of different stuff there, kind of interesting things.”

Online shopping or in-store:

“In-store, to see how everything fits.”

Fashion icon:

“Billie Eilish. I wouldn’t dress like her, but I think it’s kind of interesting to see how she does because people are always like ‘why do you look like Soulja Boy?’”

Outfit:

“I’m not sure [where my jacket is from], the jeans [are from] Free People, and I have Frye boots on.”

Favorite season:

“Fall. I love jackets.”

Design time:

“It depends on the occasion, [but] generally morning of. [I] just roll out of bed, [put on] whatever I’m feeling.”

Favorite article of clothing:

“Shoes. I really like boots, but then again, I [also] love sneakers [because] you can do a lot with [them] if they are just sporty or [just] lifestyle [sneakers].”

Style word:

“Unpredictable. I’m pretty sporty, so I like to be comfortable, but then again I guess I am kind of typically an artist. I feel like there’s a stereotype that I definitely fall into, where I’m like, ‘I’m going to wear what I want.’”

Fashion-challenged advice:

“[Be] careful with your patterns, don’t go overboard, [and] be careful and considerate.”
