SAD is a type of depression that changes along with the seasons. It usually starts during the fall and persists during the winter. During the spring, it seems to "cure," however the depression comes back following fall season.
As spring arrives, the sadness fades away
While there is a relatively small number of people diagnosed, rare diseases are the center of a web of connections that bring a variety of unique communities together. Research and medical advancements could not be possible without collaboration and communication between these groups, emphasizing the role of supporting one another when solving so-called impossible cases. “Rare patient communities are educated and powerful forces that hold us accountable to deliver those meaningful outcomes that matter most today,” Sarepta Therapeutics Executive Medical Director Stefanie Mason said.

Cape Cod is a popular tourist destination for Massachusetts residents and enjoy the scenery that the coastal area has to offer. Unfortunately, Cape Cod is being faced with consequences of climate change such as rising sea levels, erosion and a loss of biodiversity. “[My family and I] have been going there since 1984, so we really watched the Cape shrink every year,” lifelong Cape Cod visitor Mary Hicks said.

As spring sports pick up, so does the demand for facility use and time. This spring the sailing team will relocate to the Wayland side of the Cohituate Lake, where the crew team also practices.

IBL teams dribble towards the end of their seasons
After the Raider's first goal of the game, scored by senior captain Luke Galizio, the players pile onto the glass by the student section to celebrate, igniting the crowd into a roar. "The atmosphere was incredible, having two towns that both come to support us is amazing," Galizio said. "When [the crowd] started chanting 'Raider nation' it made [the game] feel like it wasn't just one team against another, we had a whole building of fans supporting us."
Boys hockey moves past Pembroke in the playoffs
After an exciting basket, Wayland players on the bench shot up to cheer for their teammates. Head Coach Stephen Marks directed his players where to go on the court in order to successfully defend the other team.
Girls basketball falls short to Dover-Sherborn on senior night
In honor of the annual Coaches vs Cancer, all players wore pink bows in their hair. In addition to the bows, the team wore matching pink shirts and spent time before the game setting up the gym with pink streamers and hearts.
