In the fifth edition of WSPN goes clubbing, WSPN’s Jenny Shine and Annika Martins interview Lend a Paw club leader Venezia Sebastianelli.
What is Lend A Paw?
“Lend A Paw is a new club that [junior Bianca Bernal] and I created,” Sebastianelli said. “We’re going to go visit shelter animals and just provide support for them.”
How did this club begin?
“There used to be the club [called] ‘Paws,’ but it got discontinued this year,” Sebastianelli said. “We were looking to do something for shelter animals and during one of our frees, we came up with the idea. Then, we sent an email, found an advisor and set it up.”
Why should someone join the club?
“It’s a really good way to make an impact on the animals and shelters, and to just donate your time,” Sebastianelli said. “Also, the animals are really cute.”
What are meetings like and how often are they?
“We haven’t had a meeting yet, but meetings are going to be twice a month on Fridays before school,” Sebastianelli said. “The meetings will be around 20 minutes long.”
What is one goal that you have for the club this year?
“[To] really make a difference and get a lot of people to join,” Sebastianelli said.
