Although we are two months into 2024, there are many new movies coming out this year. However, several of these new movies are sequels to popular films. Here are 10 movie sequels coming out in 2024.

“Dune: Part Two”
Release Date: March 1
This long-awaited sequel is coming out for viewers in just a few days. It is making over $400 million and starring two very famous actors: Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya. These movie stars were in the 2021 film, “Dune: Part One,” making for a much-wanted sequel. Will this second part reach the same popularity as the first, or will it be a flop?

“Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire”
Release Date: March 22
The first Ghostbusters movie was released back in 1984 and the film franchise became very popular throughout the years, with the release of “Ghostbusters 2” in 1986 and the 2016 spinoff. But in 2021, we got “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” that has a futuristic vibe and contains some of the cast from the previous films. This March, we will be seeing the second the second movie of the new franchise.

“Kung Fu Panda 4”
Release Date: March 29
“Kung Fu Panda” first hit theaters in 2008 and became very famous, not just in America. It made over $600 million from the US and countries overseas, so a second and third movie were filmed, and both also made around $600 million each. We will have the long-awaited fourth movie on March 29, and will see if it lives up to its previous three.

“Bad Boys 4”
Release Date: June 14
When the first “Bad Boys” movie was released in 1995, it wasn’t very popular and it only made over 100 million dollars. But, as the second and third came out, the series garnered more popularity, with over 400 million in ticket sales. This series is some of Will Smith’s best work. We will see if the fourth “Bad Boys” is worth it.

“Inside Out 2”
Release Date: June 14
Coming out the same day as “Bad Boys,” a very long-awaited sequel to the film “Inside Out” is arriving. Making almost 900 million dollars, “Inside Out” shows all the emotions inside of our head and their views on life, and all of them are normal emotions. Only a short preview for the new film has been released, but it has introduced new emotions and the main character, Riley, growing up.

“Deadpool 3”
Release Date: July 24.
“Deadpool” hit theaters back in 2016 and was a big hit for Marvel fans. Although Deadpool wasn’t part of the Avengers gang, Deadpool is a popular character with many fans who believe that he is one of the funniest characters in the Marvel Universe. “Deadpool 2” was released to us in 2018, and soon we will have the third.

“Beetle Juice 2”
Release Date: Sept. 6
We will finally get a sequel to the 1988 film “Beetle Juice,” which stared Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder. This sequel will focus on the original character, Lydia, while introducing new characters. One of these new characters will be Lydia’s daughter, played by Jenna Ortega. It’s been almost 50 years since the first movie, so we don’t know for sure what to expect.

“Smile 2”
Release Date: Oct. 18
The first “Smile” was a very graphic and scary watch, making over $200 million and many nightmares. No one knows what to expect in this sequel, but all we can hope is that it will be another horror film to add to your list.

“Venom 3”
Release Date: Nov. 8th
“Venom” came out in 2018 and became another famous Marvel movie. The first movie made almost $900 million and the second made over $500 million. Like “Deadpool” and “X Men,” “Venom” is a Marvel movie not connected to the original Avengers group. Even so, it became very popular, and the third will be a late-fall 2024 movie.
