Now that summer is coming to an end, with the leaves turning red, orange and yellow, here are a few recommendations of things to do this fall.
Baking
As the fall season approaches, a variety of baked goods come in as well. Whether it’s different flavors of pie, apple crisp or pumpkin bread, baking these fall treats is a great way to get in the season’s spirit.
“Our family likes to make apple crisp because we love to go apple picking and then use those apples,” senior Maeve Moran said. “I look forward to baking this when fall comes around.”
Witches Woods
When the weather gets colder and the night gets spookier, the Halloween activities commence. A recommended activity to get into the Halloween spirit is checking out Witches Woods. Witches Woods is a fair in October where there are roller coasters, food stands and haunted houses. This is a great place to check out with friends and family if you are looking to get spooked.
“Witches Woods is such a fun place to go to when October hits,” junior Riley O’Driscroll said. “It’s a great place to visit with my friends, and it really gets me in the Halloween spirit.”
Pumpkin carving
An activity that adds festivity to your home is pumpkin carving. On Pinterest, there are several different versions of carved pumpkins, ranging from simple to unique carvings.
Movie night
A more relaxed and laid back yet thrilling activity is watching Halloween movies. On popular streaming platforms, there are numerous Halloween movies you can choose from. There are collections of classics, animations and newer Halloween movies. A movie marathon is perfect with friends or family and definitely adds to fall festivities.
Apple picking
