On Friday, Jan 31. the Sewing Club, Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) and Green Team put on their fourth annual fashion show which displayed up-cycled clothing items. The event took place in the lecture hall as one of the Winter Week activities. Along with the fashion show, Green Team club leaders lead an informational slideshow highlighting the impacts of fast fashion. “I think Green Team is important because it provides an outlet for students striving to make a change,” Green Team leader junior Kaileigh Walker said. “It can seem daunting as a teenager to speak up against things that are harming our environment especially if they are normalized [such as fast fashion].”
