The Wayland Archaeology Research Group (WARG) is located at the Wayland Town Building. WARG has initiated a number of excavation sites in Wayland, finding artifacts dating back thousands of years. WARG member Tonya Largy, a retired archaeologist, is the former president of the Massachusetts Archaeological Society and has conducted research at Harvard University for 40 years. She has also been leading excavations in Wayland since the 1970s.
