![After Massachusetts voted to remove the MCAS graduation requirement, policy makers are reshaping graduation standards. "The top-line understanding is that we’ve moved away from a system that we’ve known for about 24 years, which is one where every school district in Massachusetts had wide latitude to decide what their graduation requirements were in terms of coursework or other experiences, but every single student, in order to earn a diploma, needed to pass the MCAS in one English, one math and one science assessment," Massachusetts Secretary of Education Patrick Tutwiler said. Wayland High School students begin taking AP exams on May 5.
WHS students taking Advanced Placement (AP) Exams over the next two weeks can find the date, time, location and other details regarding their exam at this link. Students are expected to be present in their classes outside of exam hours and are required to bring the following to their exams:
- Charged school-issued laptop for all hybrid and digital exams
- No. 2 pencils
- Black or blue ink pens
- Up to two approved calculators for AP Biology, AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, AP Physics or AP Statistics
- Straightedge or ruler for AP Physics
