Join WSPN’s Edge Wheeler as he interviews May’s Fashionista of the Month: sophomore Colin Moleux.
What are your favorite stores to shop at and why?
“I like going to thrift stores because it is always kind of random what you might find. I like to go in with a few things in mind, but [I] will usually end up grabbing whatever I think looks cool.”
Do you prefer online or in person shopping?
“I like in person shopping more because I have the ability to try things on, and you can always just order something in store to be shipped to you.”
Where do you get fashion inspiration from?
“I kind of just think what [about] would look dapper in my head and then put it on, and usually I’m right.”
What is your favorite style of clothes?
“I really like the 90s and Y2K style, especially brands like Nike, Champion and Russell. I feel like they are styles that are good for everyday outfits. I also like to dress up with more formal clothes. I really like Ralph Lauren and Brooks Brothers.”
What is your favorite season for fashion?
“My favorite season for fashion is fall because of the versatility of outfits you can wear with the weather.”
Do you have a favorite type of accessory?
“I really like hats, I feel like they can definitely make an outfit. I try to wear hats that match the color of something else I’m wearing, like my shoes or shirt. I have probably 30 hats in my closet so I can wear one with any type of outfit.”
How long does it take you to pick out your outfits?
“I usually think about what I want to wear while I’m in the shower before school. It takes me maybe 5-10 minutes to put everything together.”
If you could describe your style in one word what would it be?
“I would say vintage. I resell vintage and thrifted clothes on Depop, so I always have new clothes coming in and out of my inventory that I can wear before I sell them.”

Moleux sells his clothes on Depop, a popular website where people can sell their used clothes.
What would be one piece of fashion advice for anyone who might be struggling?
“Shop my Depop, or go to thrift stores and find some things you like. I like shopping at thrift [stores] because everything is so much cheaper and you can find clothes that aren’t made anymore.”
What does fashion mean to you?
“I feel like I get to be creative with my outfit and express myself through what I wear.”
