On Saturday, May 16, Wayland High School (WHS) students attended the Class of 2027 Prom. Before heading to the prom venue, the New England Aquarium, students met at WHS for the Orange Carpet, which lasted from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.. Prom-goers walked down the carpet with their dates, having the opportunity to get their photo taken. This was located in the WHS courtyard. After the Orange Carpet, attendees were escorted onto buses, making their way to Boston. Once they arrived, students ate in the aquarium before going into the tent on the water, right outside of the aquarium. Students danced for the rest of the night until 11:00 p.m.. After several hours of dancing, students re-boarded the buses, going back to WHS for “Late Night” run by the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m..
