Try Caroline's go-to festive dessert, the red velvet cupcake.Cupcakes are delicious at any time of the year. My family loves chocolate, so we make a lot of chocolate cupcakes and cookies, but the red velvet cupcake is our go-to festive dessert around the holidays. This red velvet cupcake is fairly similar to your average chocolate cupcake, but it has red food coloring in the cake batter for a jolly twist around the holidays. Finish the cupcake off with delectable cream cheese frosting, and you’ve got a unique and delicious treat.
To make the cupcake extra festive, you could use green dye to make the traditionally white cream cheese frosting a rich evergreen color. Or, add holiday sprinkles to this recipe’s raspberry or strawberry garnish. The decorative possibilities are endless with these cupcakes, so have fun!
