Girls’ soccer: The girls’ soccer team struggled through a tough season, sporting a 4-9-3 record and falling short of making tournament. With 15 returning members, the team hopes to improve next year.
Boys’ soccer: Despite having an unsatisfying season last year, the boys’ soccer team was able to bounce back and finish this year with an impressive 9-6-2 record. The team fell to Weston in a nail-biting overtime loss in the first round of the tournament. With 11 members returning, the team has high hopes for next year.
Football: So far this year, the Warriors are 6-4 and co-champions of the DCL Small. The MVP of the season is senior running back Robert Williams. Williams is only 320 yards away from breaking the Warriors single season record for rushing yards. There is one game left. There is the Thanksgiving game against Weston. Next year, look out for junior quarterback Robert Jones to take the next step and lead the Warriors to another title.
Field Hockey: It took a while for the girls to find their groove, but once they did, the girls began playing better. The season wasn’t as successful as they had hoped, but the team still made tournament. Next year, junior Gianna Fargnoli and sophomore Emily Bernard will help to try and get the team back on track.
Golf: It was another successful season for the golf team. Senior James Jurist was the most consistent golfer on the team. Next year, sophomore George Mead and junior Nick Morgan will help guide the team toward even more success.
Cross Country: The cross country team’s last meet was this past Saturday. Only freshman Sarah Tully qualified for All States, a rare accomplishment for freshmen runners. Tully finished 14 out of 180 in Division II All States. Many of the junior boys will look to lead the team next year.
Volleyball: The volleyball team had a solid season with a 9-9 record. They fell to the defending Division III champions, Melrose, in the first round of the tournament. With 11 members returning, the team hopes to improve and go deeper in the tournament next year.
