Sport: Cross-country

Achievements: Tully finished 12th in the 5000m at last year’s all-state meet and 14th in the same race in 2013. She finished 3rd in the 5000m at the Eastern Massachusetts championships last year and 5th in that race in 2013. This year, she finished 4th in the 5000m at the MSTCA Frank Kelley Invitational. In 2013, she finished 1st in the 3000m at the MSTCA Baystate Invitational and 2nd in the 2.1mi at the MSTCA Twilight Invitational.

Sports Idol: Her father, who also runs.

Favorite Memory: Tully’s favorite cross-country memory is the 2013 all-state meet. She was a freshman at the time, and the only Wayland runner to qualify for the meet. Her teammates all came to the meet to cheer her on, and she appreciated their support.

Quote: “The whole team is amazing and it’s so welcoming. Running against people from different schools that are as fast as me is a really good experience. It’s good to compete against someone that can challenge me.”
