Duncan’s College Football Top 4 – Week 7

1. Alabama Crimson Tide

A casual 41-9 drubbing of a conference foe (Arkansas) earns Alabama the top spot for another week.

2. Georgia Bulldogs

They looked a bit shaky on defense in the first half against Missouri, but Kirby Smart’s bunch pulled it together and coasted to an easy win. Offensively, they run the ball at will. Three starting caliber running backs will make them tough to stop.

3. Penn State Nittany Lions

They were off this week. Saquon Barkley and Co. host Michigan in a huge Big 10 matchup.

4. TCU Horned Frogs

A solid road win against Kansas State is another playoff resumé builder for the Horned Frogs. They stray from the typical Big 12 mold in that their defense is the main ingredient to their success.

Heisman Watch:

1. Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State – 1,044 total yards (8.0 per touch), 8 total TDs, 1 KOR TD

2. Bryce Love, RB, Stanford – 1,387 yards rushing (10.3 yards per carry), 11 TDs

T-3. Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma – 1,937 yards, 17 TDs, 1 INT, 72.7%

T-3. J.T. Barrett, QB, Ohio State – 1,827 yards, 21 TDs, 1 INT, 66.5%, 370 yards rushing, 5 TDs

Game of the Week: (19) Michigan Wolverines vs. (2) Penn State Nittany Lions – 7:30 ET – ABC

Michigan has been sputtering lately, but I have no doubt that they will play Penn State tough. Saquon Barkley against this Michigan defense is going to be an epic matchup. After their loss to Michigan State, the Wolverines desperately need a conference win. This is their opportunity to get back in the playoff hunt.

Prediction: Penn State 27, Michigan 20
