Teams I can See Going to the Super Bowl (in no particular order) – Week 9

Duncan’s College Football Top 4 – Week 9

1. Alabama Crimson Tide

Although the Tide still have not had a great win, the eye test points to them remaining at #1. But, beware Alabama fans, The Bulldogs are coming.

2. Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia continues to impress. A showdown with Alabama in the SEC Championship game is ahead for the Bulldogs if they keep this up. Run the ball. Play defense. A simple recipe has gone a long way.

3. Ohio State Buckeyes

I’m a big believer that Ohio State is right behind Alabama and Georgia. This is a GREAT team. People have seemed to forget that after their week 2 loss to Oklahoma. Keep in mind that when they won it all in 2014, they had an early season loss as well. J.T. barrett and this offense is hitting its stride, and the defense has always been elite.

4. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

This team is on a roll. RB Josh Adams has entered the Heisman conversation as he has racked up a ton of yards behind a dominating offensive line. They travel to #10 Miami soon. That will be a telling contest.

Heisman Watch:

1. Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma – 2,628 yards, 23 TDs, 3 INTs, 72.5%

2. J.T. Barrett, QB, Ohio State – 2,155 yards, 25 TDs, 1 INT, 69.4%, 465 rushing yards (5.3), 5 TDs

3. Saquon Barkley, RB, Penn State – 1,272 total yards (7.3), 12 total TDs, 2 KOR TDs

Game of the Week: (5) Oklahoma vs. (11) Oklahoma State

This game will be big in determining if the Big 12 is represented in the Playoff. So far, the conference has cannibalized itself, with no one team dominating. If one of these squads can win this game convincingly, and then win out in the Big 12, they’d have a good shot at the final four.

Prediction: Oklahoma 47, Oklahoma State 38
