The Bedford Buccaneers (blue) and the Wayland Warriors (pink) encircle Ellie and Annie Levine, the honorary captains for the Warriors before the game begins. Senior captain Alex Kashian believes the sisters will give the team the inspiration they need to play the game. “They were with us on the sideline completely kitted out in pink, and I think they helped as much as possible,” Kashian said. “I think it was a huge inspiration for the team.”
The Wayland Warriors played the Bedford Buccaneers in the annual kicks for cancer game on Sept. 28. Wayland switched out the usual orange jerseys for pink ones, while Bedford sported blue shirts. Wayland took a one-goal win and ended the game 2-1. To view more photos from this event, click here.
