News Brief: Robotics team to host STEM fair

The WHS Robotics team will be hosting a town-wide STEM fair inviting students to experience demonstrations, experiments and hands-on exhibits. The STEM fair will be held on Sunday, Oct. 27 in the WHS Commons from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
All students K-8 are invited to come and participate in the activities as the Commons transforms into an interactive center filled with missions and work from STEM initiatives. Initiatives include the WHS Robotics Team Wayland FLL (First Lego League) Team, Destination Imagination teams, Innovation & Design Thinking, 3-D Printing Boy Scouts (STEM Badges), Coding SVT: Protecting Natural Areas & Wildlife and the Medical Club Women in STEM.
Tickets are free and all are welcome. The event is a great opportunity for Wayland residents to notice student’s work and help move the STEM education to the next level.
