Sports Brief: Fall sports DCL all stars

This year, many players from Wayland’s Football team were recognized as DCL All Stars. For senior Mason Bolivar, not only did he receive this award but was also given the title of DCL All Star MVP.

At the end of each athletic season, coaches from the DCL gather all together in a meeting to select all-stars from each team. The DCL All-Star award is not something that is easily given, it is something that is earned through hard work from the entire season. The award recognizes players who best fit the criteria that the DCL establishes. Along with the physical ability the award requires, the criteria considers the athlete’s sportsmanship, attitude, behavior and overall worth to the team, school and league.
