In a close match against the Boston-Latin Wolfpack, the Wayland Warriors fell short-handed in a final score of 41-36. Despite the loss, the Warriors were able to celebrate their annual “Coaches vs Cancer” game, wearing their warm-up shirts dedicated to former WHS guidance counselor and coach Jim Griffin, who passed away in 2012 of pancreatic cancer. They also celebrated the annual Senior Night, decorating the field house with festive balloons and homemade posters in light of the occasion.
