The Wayland Depot, located on 1 Cochituate Rd in Wayland, is the town’s hidden tresure. This local community shop is run mainly by volunteers, and specifically female volunteers. Any surplus money earned gets donated to Wayland organizations and charities like Parmenter Food Policy, elementary school Parent Teacher Organizations, Salvation Army, Wayland High School Creative Arts Parent Association, Wayside Rail Trail, Friends of Wayland and more. The Wayland Depot is usually the busiest during the winter holiday season and fall. “We hope people will stop by and see what we have to offer,” Wayland Depot Vice President Beth Barovick said.
Join WSPN’s Emma Zocco and Mischa Lee as they interview Wayland Depot Vice President Beth Barovick and Wayland Depot Volunteer Margery Baston to learn more about the shop’s history and uniqueness.
