Saturday, June 15, residents will celebrate Wayland’s 375th anniversary. An opening ceremony at the North Cemetery at 9 a.m. will kick off the event. Historical walking tours, exhibits featured by the Wayland Historical Society and a presentation by the Sudbury Militia at the Grout-Heard House will follow the opening ceremony at 1:00 p.m.
From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m., the Moody Street Circus will be hosting five shows at the athletic fields behind Wayland Middle School. A carnival featuring games, magicians and clowns will be located adjacent to the circus rings. Admission for circus shows is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Game tickets for the carnival are $1 each. Tickets are being sold in advance online and at Donelan’s, Russell’s Garden Center or the Wayland Depot.
Saturday’s events will wrap up with a barn dance and bonfire at 43 Old Connecticut Path. Suggested donations for the dance and bonfire are $10 per person.

From 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Dudley Pond Association will be hosting an ice cream social at Wayland’s Mansion Beach on Dudley Pond, featuring music by Roger Wiegan’s Diamond Jubilee Carousel.
