Bonjour Scrambled readers!
This past February vacation, I traveled to France. While in Paris, I noticed a few very different things about the way the people eat. One major thing is that, in general, the French snack a lot less than we do in America. However, one common afternoon snack is a crepe.
So what was I to do while in Paris? Obviously, I just had to have an authentic French crepe. Basically, on any given street, wherever I looked, there would be at least one creperie in sight (if not more).
Immediately after taking my first bite, I realized that Americans have been missing out. Crepes are delicious! I chose to fill mine with Nutella, but other popular choices are strawberries, bananas, or various types of jams.
So, when I got home, I decided to try making crepes. I brought them in for my French class, and they were a hit. Click here for the recipe I followed.
Another great thing about crepes is that they can be eaten for almost any meal. They go well with berries, cream cheese or Nutella for breakfast. They make a great snack with almost anything and can be served for dessert with some chocolate sauce drizzled on top.
Bon appetit!
