In a joint effort by multiple town organizations, the Wayland Historical Society, the Wayland Free Public Library, Arts Wayland, the Wayland Depot and the First Parish in Wayland hosted the annual Wayland Center Holiday Open House on Sunday, Dec. 5. The event ran from 2 to 5 p.m., and it included family inclusive activities at each stop: the Grout-Heard House, the town library, the Wayland Depot, a holiday market at the W Gallery and caroling at the First Parish.

The Grout-Heard House, next to the Wayland Free Public Library. The Wayland Garden Club decorated the Grout-Heard House grounds in preparation for the day's event. Community members could bring donations for My Brother’s Table Food Pantry, the successor to Parmenter Food Pantry, under the tree bedecked by the Wayland Girl Scouts located in the center of the front lawn at the Grout-Heard house. The Wayland Historical Society organized the donation drop off.
