WSPN’s Joanna Barrow looked behind the scenes of WHS administrators visiting UNC with goals to diversify the Wayland staff. Reporter Allie Nunn highlighted three teachers that are new to WHS this year.

Sports:

A group of WSPN editors and reporters reviewed the fall sports seasons and previewed the teams that are headed into playoffs. WSPN’s Max Brande and reporter Garrett Spooner reflected on the varsity girls soccer senior night.

Meanwhile, editor Hailey Robinson and reporter Eliya Howard-Delman discussed how varsity field hockey made playoffs for the first time in five years.

A&E:

Editor Christina Taxiarchis revealed the artist of the month for October, senior Sam Baron, who has played the viola since she was in third grade. Reporter Brasen Chi highlighted WSPN’s top 10 Halloween activities.

Multimedia: 

WSPN’s Remmi Shaw snapped photos at the annual Pam’s Run. The WSPN staff took pictures of the best senior Halloween costumes.

Shaw, Nunn, and WSPN’s Josh Schreiber interviewed sophomores at the annual sophomore semi that took place on Oct. 19.
