First Day of School: Hybrid version (26 Photos)

A group of senior boys makes their way onto campus to start their first day of senior year in person. They had their masks on and were greeted by the Assistant Principals Ms. Cole and Mr. Gass. By 8:10, the campus was already full of students ready for class.
The students at Wayland High School started the hybrid plan during the week of Oct. 19. The student body was separated into two cohorts, A and B. During the week, the cohort A students came into the school on Monday and Tuesday, while the cohort B students came into school on Thursday and Friday. While the students were at home they often “Zoomed” into their classes or did other work the teacher provided them. For the students that were in the school, it was important to keep masks on, sit at the desks that were six feet apart, use hand sanitizer throughout the day and remember to scan their QR codes if exiting a class for any reason.
