For some seniors, finding places to vacation to with friends and family during the spring and summer months can be something to look forward to. While there are many options for exciting vacation spots, here are our top 10 senior trip ideas.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Cabo San Lucas is known for its beaches, nightlife and multiple water-based activities. One of the most iconic landmarks is the Arch of Cabo San Lucas. A great way to see this is by going on a sunset dinner cruise. While cruising, passengers can enjoy light snacks and drinks while taking in the view. For a more thrilling experience, vacationers can go parasailing to see beaches like Cabo Bay and other landmarks from up above.

London, England
London is filled with architecture, history and romance. For first-timers, we suggest taking a double-decker tour bus to see the sights and learn about London’s culture and traditions. For an overhead view of the city, vacationers can take a 30 minute ride on the London Eye, the fourth largest ferris wheel in the world. Another popular option is taking a tour of the Tower of London, where the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom are located, or going to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guards and the palace gardens.

Los Angeles, California
Sunny Los Angeles is a popular senior trip location, and, in our opinion, for good reason. We suggest checking out The Grove for high-end stores, dining and possible celebrity sightings. Additionally, Universal Studios offers thrills and excitement ranging from roller coasters to live action shows. Be sure to check out the multiple fun dining options along the city walk, too.

Daytona Beach, Florida
Head on down to Daytona Beach to soak up the sun and create lasting memories with friends. We suggest taking a tour of the Daytona International Speedway, the race track where the Daytona 500 is held. Vacationers might also enjoy the Daytona Beach boardwalk, which is lined with gift shops, arcades and shops. Up for a rush? Take a ride on the slingshot at Screamer’s Park, which launches riders 360 feet into the air in less than two seconds. Also, don’t forget to go indoor go-kart racing for some more fun.

Kauaʻi, Hawaii
Kauaʻi is also known as the “Garden Island.” This island was given its nickname for the emerald valleys, sharp mountain spires and jagged cliffs with flowing waterfalls. The Garden Island is home to many outdoor activities, such as kayaking on the Wailua River, snorkeling on Po’ipū Beach, hiking on the trails of Kōke’e State Park or going ziplining above Kauaʻi’s lush valleys.

Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica
The appeal to this coastline city is not about the attractions, but the relaxation that Puerto Viejo brings. However, that doesn’t mean there is nothing to do. To explore the city to its full extent, vacationers can journey through the relaxed atmosphere by cycling. We suggest visiting the Jaguar Rescue Center, the Cahuita National Park and Punta Uva, one of the best beaches in Puerto Viejo.

Las Vegas, Nevada
Las Vegas is full of diverse culture. In our opinion, one of the best things about “America’s Playground” is the music life. We suggest that vacationers spend time going out and about to see artists and comedians while eating delicious food. Another popular attraction is the Punk Rock Museum, which is dedicated to rock subgenre artifacts.

Dublin, Ireland
When vacationers visit Dublin, they enter a place of historical remembrance and vibrant culture. In our opinion, one of the best places to experience the history of Dublin is through the DoDublin tours. These tours will bring vacationers to see the Dalkey Castle, Dublinia Museum and so much more. To take a look into the past and immerse in Irish culture, we suggest going to the EPIC Museum, which has multiple artifacts and exhibits about Irish emigration, the places the Irish immigrated to and the impact immigration and emigration had on the country.

Hoonah, Alaska
Hoonah is a cold place, but it is filled with natural beauty and wildlife. In our opinion, one of the best ways to see all that Hoonah has to offer is to take a ride on ZipRider, the world’s longest zipline. The ride is less than two minutes long, but the view is incredible. Sea life is also a big part of Alaska, and a fun way to see sea life can be by going on whale watching tours. While on this tour, passengers should keep an eye out for humpback whales, seals, porpoise, orca and more.

Santorini, Greece
Santorini is one of the unique places in the world that has an active, resting volcano. While gazing at this remarkable volcano, vacationers can also explore the culture of Greece through their various explosive flavors of food, drinks and historical sites. A top historical site to visit is the archaeological site of Akrotiri. Akrotiri is on the southern part of the island, and vacationers can see the ruins from when a volcanic eruption covered the city in ash.
