Wayland boys varsity volleyball won the opening playoff game against Pioneer Charter School of Science with a 3-0 sweep on Saturday May 30, kicking off the championship season. The game was a chance for the usual lineup to be mixed around and for players to challenge their flexibility with positions.

Getting ready for spring: Girls lacrosse plays Wellesley in a preseason scrimmage

Prior to the official start of the season, the girls varsity lacrosse team attended a scrimmage against 2024 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) Division I runner up, Wellesley at Sprague Fields on Thursday, March 27. Because the game was not official, the score was not kept.

After a goal is scored, a player from each team participates in a draw in center field. Senior Lily Cerne and a Wellesley player stand with their sticks together, while the referee positions the ball in between them.
