On Saturday, Oct. 26, the Class of 2026 gathered together for the 10th annual progressive dinner, an event aimed at bringing seniors together.
The senior class moved between three homes throughout the course of the night, all holding the appetizer, dinner and dessert courses. Appetizers were hosted by senior Annie Melander’s family, entrées were hosted by senior Will Walters family and dessert was hosted by senior Abbie Conley’s family.
“This event is a bonding experience for them and [will] hopefully bring them closer as a class,” Class of 2026 advisor Jennifer McGillis said. “I’m hopeful that it will get people together more and [help them] forget those friend group boundaries and cross boundaries and hang out with each other.”
Along with McGillis, senior Kelsey Kaufmann also expressed that Progressive Dinner was a great way for the senior class to bond, positively influencing future senior events.
“I think it’s really important [for] creating that bond between our classmates,” senior Kelsey Kaufmann said. “Because it’s our senior year, we might never see these people [again].”
Lively music played in the background as the formally dressed senior class filled up the backyards of the three families. Most seniors mingled and enjoyed the food provided by their classmates.
“I think [it‘s really important] to socialize and come together as a class, especially since it’s our last year,” senior Eva Smith said.
