The annual Golden Globe Awards, a star-studded event that celebrates film, television and podcasting talents, took place on Sunday, Jan. 11. Before the ceremony, nominees walked the red carpet in extravagant looks that showcased designers’ latest collections. Additionally, it gave actors a chance to express their personal style.
Most Elegant Outfit
For the most elegant outfit, we chose actor Ayo Edebiri, who was dressed in a long, black Chanel dress dress. The dress draped to the floor in tiers, with semi-capped sleeves that formed knots with crystal detailing. Choosing a classic color with a beautiful fit made simplicity a crown jewel at this year’s Golden Globes. Edebiri adorned the look with Tiffany & Co. jewelry that infused the outfit with touches of sophistication. Edebiri was nominated for her role as Sydney Adamu in the comedy-drama series “The Bear.”
Brightest Outfit
We chose actor Wunmi Mosaku for the brightest outfit. She walked the red carpet in a strapless, electric sunny-yellow dress by Matthew Reisman. She also wore a matching scarf draped over her neckline. She accessorized with drop earrings and wore her braided hair pinned up. Mosaku revealed her pregnancy at the awards show, which was a sacred moment for her. In a personal essay published in Vogue, Mosaku said she chose yellow to reflect the Yoruba phrase “Iya ni Wúrà,” meaning “mother is golden.” Mosaku was nominated for her role in “Sinners,” which had seven nominations in total. This dress stood out to us because of how rich and vibrant its color was, especially compared with the sea of nude and black outfits.
Most Interesting Texture
We found that the outfit with the most interesting texture was worn by “White Lotus” actor Parker Posey. Posey wore a custom gold dress from Rodarte covered in large ruffles. The texture stood out not only because of the ruffles, but also because the dress was made from gold taffeta. Together, the fabric and the ruffles created a look with real depth. She paired the dress with black opera gloves.
Cutest Outfit
For the cutest outfit, we chose 6-year-old Duke McCloud, the youngest actor on the red carpet. McCloud wore a gray-blue suit with a pink button-down shirt and a brooch pinned to his lapel. He topped off the outfit with classic spectator shoes. Being so young, McCloud’s outfit had an adorable factor no other actor could top. McCloud attended the Golden Globes for the Peacock series “All Her Fault.”
Most Unique
For the most unique outfit, we chose Audrey Nuna. Nuna wore a black, cape-like dress with a white underlayer and draped cream-colored bows for a dramatic effect. She also wore a black mesh veil that covered her face, plus black heels with white socks to finish the outfit. The main look came from the label Thom Browne. Nuna was nominated for her contributions to “KPop Demon Hunters,” including the hit song “Golden,” a Netflix release from 2025.
